Boycott Links
Groups/businesses/corporations we are boycotting and why:
The Recording Industry Association of America
For monopolistic, predatory business practices; for trying to stem the flow of information by an all-out assault on peer-to-peer (P2P) software; for declaring war on their potential customers.
Big Champagne
Big Champagne, ostensibly a company that researches popularity trends in music, is the primary culprit responsible for gathering information on tracking down users on P2P networks and selling their personal information to the RIAA and other organizations.
CompUSA
For their general disgregard and rudeness to the digerati community.
Amazon.com
For their disturbing privacy policies and deceptive shipping policies, not to mention their rampant abuse of the patent system. See Slashdot for more information.
Starbucks
In order to bolster their own pay-for-play wireless internet access, Starbucks is sponsoring bills to restrict free wireless access in metropolitan areas.
T-Mobile
Yeah, Catherine Zeta Jones is hot, but T-Mobile is the wireless provider to Starbucks and is actively fighting free wireless access in metropolitan areas.
Adobe
For Dmitry Sklyarov, regarding Adobe's DMCA eBook lawsuit.
